Terms & Privacy.

The rules of the road, and what we do with your data. Plain English where the law lets us. The legal version, where it doesn't.

Last updated 23 May 2026 Governing law: Wyoming, USA Jetzi LLC

1. Who we are

JetZi is a marketplace operated by Jetzi LLC, a limited liability company registered in the State of Wyoming, USA (collectively "JetZi", "we", "us"). We connect owners of personal watercraft ("jetskis") with riders who want to rent them. We are not a jetski owner, dealer, broker, or operator. We are an intermediary platform.

These Terms govern your use of the JetZi website, mobile app, and all related services (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Account & eligibility

2.1 Minimum age

You must be at least 18 years old to register for an account. Some Owners may require their Riders to be 21 or older — this is disclosed on the listing.

2.2 Account information

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering and to keep it updated. You are responsible for safeguarding your password. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

2.3 Dual roles

A single account may act as both Owner and Rider. The applicable obligations of each role apply when you are acting in that capacity.

3. Bookings & payments

3.1 Booking creation

When you (the Rider) submit a booking request, we authorise the rental amount and place a hold on your payment method for the security deposit (the "Bond"). The booking is not confirmed until the Owner accepts, or until automatic confirmation occurs for listings flagged "Instant Book".

3.2 Payment processing

All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. through the Stripe Connect platform. By using the Service you also agree to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement. JetZi does not store full payment card data.

3.3 Service fee

JetZi charges a service fee on each booking, disclosed at checkout. The service fee is non-refundable except as expressly stated.

3.4 Commission

JetZi retains a commission from the rental amount paid to the Owner, calculated as a percentage of the rental subtotal at the time of booking. The applicable commission rate is shown to the Owner at the time of listing acceptance. Commission rates are subject to change with 30 days' notice; changes do not apply retroactively to existing bookings.

4. Owners

4.1 Listing accuracy

Owners are responsible for the accuracy of every listing, including photographs, descriptions, specifications, location, and pricing. Misrepresentation may result in listing suspension or account termination.

4.2 KYC verification

Owners must complete Stripe-hosted identity verification ("KYC") before payouts can be released. JetZi does not directly collect or store identity documents — Stripe is the controller and processor for KYC data.

4.3 Insurance

Owners must carry current personal watercraft insurance meeting at minimum the legal requirements of the jurisdiction where the jetski is moored. The Bond is not insurance and does not replace the Owner's policy.

4.4 Payouts

Payouts are made daily to the Owner's connected Stripe account, subject to Stripe's standard rolling delay (typically 2 days). Newly verified accounts may experience an initial holding period of up to 14 days as required by Stripe.

5. Riders

5.1 Operating licence

Riders must comply with all local laws regarding the operation of personal watercraft, including any required boating safety education or licence. JetZi does not verify licences but Owners may refuse rental at the dock without refund if a licence cannot be produced where required by law.

5.2 Condition of jetski

Riders must inspect the jetski at handover, document its condition with dated photographs, and return it in the same condition (normal wear excluded). Failure to document pre-rental condition may weaken your position in any damage claim dispute.

5.3 Alcohol and drugs

Operating a jetski under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited and may be a criminal offence in your jurisdiction. The Owner may refuse rental at the dock if intoxication is suspected, without refund.

6. Deposit & bond

The Bond is a refundable security deposit set by the Owner, intended to cover damage to the jetski during the rental period. Bond amounts vary by listing.

6.1 Authorisation hold (≤5 days)

For rentals of 5 days or fewer, the Bond is held as a pending authorisation on your payment method. The amount is reserved but not transferred. The hold is released no later than 7 days after the booking ends, unless converted to a capture due to a damage claim.

6.2 Charge-and-refund (>5 days)

For rentals longer than 5 days, the Bond is charged as a real transaction and refunded within 48 hours of the booking ending, less any damage capture.

One-shot capture rule. If the Owner submits a damage claim and we approve it, we capture only the approved amount and immediately release the remainder of the Bond. The Owner cannot submit a second claim against the same booking.

6.3 Damage claim window

Owners have 48 hours after the booking ends to submit a damage claim. After 48 hours, the Bond auto-releases and no further claims may be made against it (the Owner retains separate rights under their own insurance and applicable law).

7. Cancellations

7.1 Rider-initiated

  • 48+ hours before launch: full refund of rental; Bond hold released immediately.
  • 24–48 hours before launch: 50% refund of rental; Bond hold released immediately.
  • Less than 24 hours before launch: no refund of rental; Bond hold released immediately.

7.2 Owner-initiated

If the Owner cancels at any time, the Rider receives a 100% refund of all charges including any service fee. Repeated Owner cancellations may result in listing suspension.

7.3 JetZi-initiated

We may cancel a booking if we reasonably believe it violates these Terms, applicable law, or poses a safety risk. We will issue refunds where appropriate.

8. Disputes

Disputes between Rider and Owner concerning a booking should first be raised through the JetZi support channel. We provide non-binding mediation. Decisions made by JetZi's Trust & Safety team are final for purposes of releasing or capturing the Bond, but do not preclude either party from pursuing further legal remedies outside the Service.

If you initiate a chargeback through your bank instead of through JetZi, we may suspend your account pending resolution and may treat the chargeback as a breach of these Terms.

9. Prohibited conduct

You may not:

  • Use the Service to facilitate or commit any illegal act;
  • Operate a jetski while intoxicated or impaired;
  • Misrepresent your identity, age, or location;
  • Circumvent JetZi to book or pay an Owner directly after meeting through the Service;
  • Scrape, copy, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service;
  • Use the Service in any jurisdiction where doing so would violate local law.

Violation may result in immediate account termination, listing removal, and forfeiture of pending payouts (Owners) or refunds (Riders), at our reasonable discretion.

10. Liability & insurance

JetZi is a marketplace. We do not own, operate, lease, or supervise the jetskis listed on the Service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, JetZi disclaims all warranties, express or implied, regarding the jetskis themselves, including warranties of fitness for a particular purpose and merchantability.

The Bond is not insurance. The Owner's personal watercraft insurance is the primary source of recovery for damage exceeding the Bond, injury, third-party claims, theft, or total loss.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the total amounts you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Sheridan County, Wyoming, except where otherwise required by applicable consumer-protection law in your country of residence.

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remainder shall remain in full force and effect.
